History

Armando’s Pizzeria first opened it’s doors in a renovated fish and chip store in July of 1967. When Armando Gerardi and his wife Antonia anxiously awaited their first customers they were sure of one thing: How to make good pizza. Armando and Antonia perfected their recipes using their secrets brought to North America from the old Country. By the end of the first week the word was out and Armando’s eight tables were starting to fill up every night. In 1974 Armando’s expanded it’s menu to include a delicious array of Italian cuisine while still offering our original recipe pizza. Using the same formula of freshness and quality ingredients, that our pizza was founded on, Armando’s continues to offer signature dishes that are sure to please.

As in the beginning our focus is on freshness. From our pizzas which start with fresh hand tossed dough, to our signature dishes where quality and freshness are never compromised. At Armando’s we remain true to the Values that Armando and Antonia created many years ago. Armando’s now vast menu, can accommodate all, from a quaint dinner for two, to a large corporate or family catering. Today Armando’s Restaurant’s are synonymous with superior service and excellent food. We hope you enjoy our unique recipes as much as we enjoy making them for you.

Freshness is a key ingredient at Armando’s,  we have been serving fresh made pizzas, on fresh dough made in house since 1967. Over the last 43 years we have refined our approach in providing incomparable service accompanied with fresh made products. Our trained staff expertly prepares meals using top quality ingredients like Uniondale mozzarella, with recipes that date back to old world Italy. At Armando’s our commitment goes beyond just providing fresh pizzas, and signature dishes. We like to think of it as “the total package” in a restaurant experience. We have achieved many accolades that we are proud of, which include people’s choice award for best pizza, as well as the Tourism and Hospitality award from the Chamber of Commerce.
